Redskins release Thomas
The Washington Redskins released third-year wide receiver Devin Thomas in what is considered a surprising move.
The Redskins didn’t give much of an explanation for the move, but work ethic was rumored to be a big factor.
Head coach Mike Shanahan apparently didn’t think much of Thomas’ dedication to the team or to football.
Thomas had a lot of other outside interests, including movies and music, and wasn’t one of the more dedicated players.
The bottom line was that Thomas wasn’t productive either way, so he was simply a waste of a roster spot.
